Privacy is Primary

Privacy is the core of a spiritual life. Contemporary religion makes our public-life the primary test of faith. It may actually be the very thing that’s keeping us from finding genuine faith. Privacy, simplicity, taking time to be alone with his first-love, his loving heavenly Father, is the way Jesus maintained such an intimately close relationship with his Father.

It’s in our private-life, that we, like Jesus, find the inner strength to handle any outer problem. Even when Jesus was actively engaged in his public ministry, he continued to return to his private places to have his private, intimate time with his Father. If we don’t have a healthy private-life with God, our public-life will not survive. Even with your busy, successful, public-life, is it time for you to re-emphasize your private-time with Jesus?
