This week, patriotic Americans across the country celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 20.  First observed on May 20, 1950 to honor Americans serving in the five U.S. military branches, it’s always on the third Saturday in May as a climax to Armed Forces Week.

A few months ago I was commissioned to paint the official oil portrait of the newly-chosen Chief Master Sergeant (CMS), Sergeant Kaleth Wright, of the US Air Force. CMS is the highest level position of all enlisted leadership in the Air Force.

As part of the Armed Forces week of celebration, I am honored to present the portrait of this decorated hero. And, I join all Americans in expressing my gratitude for the courageous and sacrificial contributions of all of those who serve in our Armed Forces.

Attached is a photo of my oil portrait that is on display at Lackland AF Base in San Antonio, TX.
